THEMATIC GROUPS OF PEDAGOGICAL VOCABULARY IN THE ENGLISH-LANGUAGE SCIENTIFIC AND PEDAGOGICAL DISCOURSE OF HIGHER EDUCATION

The relevance of research is due to the need to study the pedagogical vocabulary of English-language scientific and pedagogical discourse in higher education in order to optimize intercultural professional communication in English. In this regard, this article is aimed at identifying and describing thematic groups of pedagogical vocabulary in the English-language scientific and pedagogical discourse of higher education. The research material was the abstracts of scientific articles from journals on higher education in English. As a result, it was revealed that the pedagogical vocabulary of the English-language scientific and pedagogical discourse of higher education reflects the specifics (problems, trends, achievements and values) of the higher education system development in the world.
