TRADITIONAL FAMILY DISHES (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE TUBALARS OF THE REPUBLIC OF ALTAI)

This article examines the traditional family dishes of the Tubalars of the Altai Republic. The consumption of food is the most important element in life, which forms various rituals, including family traditions. Family traditions imply regularly repeated actions of family members aimed at strengthening the family and uniting intra-family ties. The study has shown, firstly, that among the joint hobbies of modern families the preparation of traditional food, which has its own unique features, prevails. Secondly, through the formation of food culture the attention of the younger generation to the traditions of their people is attracted. Thirdly, food continues to play an important role in the ritual practice of Tubalars, reflecting their relationship with nature and spiritual attitudes.
