The article examines the features of the communicative personality of a modern British politician Keir Starmer based on the analysis of his public speeches, defines theoretical approaches to the concept of communicative personality in linguistics, including the concepts of Yu.N. Karaulov, V.V. Krasnykh and V.I. Karasik. The characteristic features of Starmer's rhetorical style are identified, such as rationality, analyticalness, the use of the strategy of inclusiveness and unity, and avoidance of confrontation. A comparative analysis of his rhetoric with the rhetoric of his predecessors (Theresa May, Boris Johnson and others) is carried out to determine the communicative strategies that are inherent in Starmer. It is concluded that Keir Starmer's communication strategies focus on creating an image of a responsible and professional leader who is able to unite various social groups around common values, while his rhetoric strengthens the audience's trust through reliance on facts, logical consistency, and a pragmatic approach to problem solving. The use of first-person plural pronouns, an appeal to social justice, and the avoidance of harsh criticism of opponents allow him to communicate with a wide audience and promote the political goals of the Labour Party.
The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of applying its results in the field of political linguistics and communication.
