The article is devoted to the issue of advanced training for university teachers. This process is considered as a condition for the formation of meta-subject competence of students. Attention is paid to modern methods and means of improving the qualifications of teachers, their compliance with the legal framework. The problems and prospects for modernizing the system of advanced training have been identified, through which the achievement of educational results by students will be effective.
