ON THE ISSUE OF THE PERIODIZATION OF THE CIVIL WAR IN THE WRITINGS OF EMIGRANT HISTORIANS OF THE 1920S AND 1930S

The article presents an analysis of the criteria for the periodization of the Civil War in Russia, reflected in the scientific works of historians-emigrants of the 1920s and 1930s. The principles and factors used by scientists in identifying the stages of the Civil War in Russia are considered. The periodization of the Civil War in Russia in the works of emigrant historians is considered by the author by comparing the various opinions of scientists about military events that are transitional moments from one stage of the Civil War to another.
