DEVELOPMENT OF PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES OF STUDENTS IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION: PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS

The article is devoted to the problem of developing professional competencies in students of physical education universities in the context of modernization of higher education. Various approaches to understanding the essence and structure of professional competencies of specialists in physical culture and sports are analyzed. The results of an empirical study of the level of formation of professional competencies among students are presented. A model for the development of professional competencies of future physical education personnel is proposed, and the organizational and pedagogical conditions for its effective implementation in a university are revealed.
