Modern research confirms the crucial role of visualization in teaching Russian as a foreign language. This article provides a systematic review of publications exploring contemporary approaches to visual learning, with a particular focus on the application of visualization to enhance learning outcomes and create associative connections. Special attention is given to the role of conventional and unconventional metaphors in deep material comprehension and student adaptation. The article evaluates the potential of visual metaphors in the development of educational methodologies and the use of modern neural network visualization technologies for cognitive growth and analytical thinking of learners. The theoretical significance of the work lies in the systematization of knowledge on the impact of visual metaphors on metacognitive development. The practical significance is expressed in recommendations for integrating visual components into educational programs, which contributes to their effectiveness, accessibility, and inclusivity.
