As cultural symbols, flowers carry the spiritual code of the nation. Classical and modern culture uses the example of flowers, which are most often found in Chinese and Russian classical and modern culture, to highlight the differences between Chinese and Russian cultures. The authors consider the images of flowers from the point of view of their material aesthetics and spiritual projection through a comparative analysis of philosophical and cultural meanings, literary symbols and features of their use in artistic speech. The analysis of linguistic means of expressing the phytomorphic code in Chinese and Russian culture helps to identify common and national meanings that are important for interpreting the axiological component of the linguistic worldview. The obtained material can be used in the practice of teaching courses in intercultural communication and linguoculturology.
Keywords:cultural code, phytomorphic code, biomorphic code, meaning of a flower, cultural symbol.
