THE CONCEPT OF “SIN” IN PROVERBS AND SAYING OF THE RUSSIAN AND DARGINIAN LANGUAGES

The article is devoted to the study of the national and cultural specificity of the concept of “sin”. Russian and Dargin proverbs representing the concept of "sin" are considered. It has been revealed that the concept of "sin" in Russian and Dargin paremiology is primarily associated with religious discourse. The Russian mentality reflects the close interaction of the Christian and folk world views. Dargin proverbs combine religious, ethical and ethnolinguistic discourses. The analysis of proverbs also showed that a comparative study of Russian and Dargin proverbs is of interest for the practice of intercultural communication.
