The period from 1949 to 1978 marked China's transitional stage from the Soviet model to an independent path of modernization. This study analyzes the historical role of Soviet assistance, the limitations of the Soviet model, and China's reformist innovations that laid the foundation for its national development paradigm. The research employs a comparative analysis of approaches by Chinese and Russian scholars, combined with historical-economic data, examining economic, political, and technological dimensions of this transformation. The investigation particularly focuses on how China's adaptive reforms during this transitional phase shaped the framework for its unique developmental model.
