The purpose of this study is to analyze educational approaches and methods for improving students' intercultural communication based on the existing model of teaching Russian in Chinese universities.
The relevance of the article is due to the fact that the ability to intercultural communication, which is a key competence in the practice of studying foreign languages, does not receive sufficient attention in teaching Russian in Chinese universities. Moreover, in a number of universities, teachers have an incomplete understanding of the essence of intercultural communication, which leads to a decrease in the effectiveness of the organization of the educational process in the Russian language.
The results of the study indicate the possibility of improving students' intercultural communication skills in the Chinese language environment. This requires the introduction of effective pedagogical approaches, including the development of specialized courses aimed at developing practical language skills in the context of teaching Russian at universities.
