PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS WITH COLOR SEMANTICS: A RUSSIAN–SPANISH DICTIONARY OF EQUIVALENTS

This article presents the development of a bilingual dictionary of correspondences for phraseological units, proverbs, and sayings in Russian and Spanish. The study focuses on Spanish phraseological expressions containing color-related components (coloratives), as well as their Russian equivalents. The relevance of this work stems from the need to advance the comparative analysis of phraseological units, proverbs, and sayings in Russian and Spanish, which allows for a deeper understanding of interlingual parallels and the identification of culture-specific features of both languages. Although bilingual dictionaries of phraseological units do exist, they generally overlook the semantic role of color.
