The relevance of the study is based on the fact that the intercultural competence of a student is the most important result of university education, a basic indicator of its quality in the context of global trends in the integration of educational space in the modern world, but few researchers consider its formation in the context of a personalized educational environment aimed at revealing the talents and strengths of the student's personality, and thus more focused on the final result in the student's professional activity.
Aim. To reveal the essence of a personalized educational environment and answer the question of how to implement pedagogical modeling of this environment to develop a set of measures that contribute to increasing the level of intercultural competence of students.
Scientific novelty / theoretical and / or practical significance. The original study was conducted, the results of which presented a detailed analysis of the level of formation of intercultural competence of students, before and after the integration of their own set of activities aimed at increasing the level of intercultural competence in a personalized educational environment.
The results of the study demonstrate that the formation of intercultural competence in conjunction with UK-5 and UK-4 of the Federal State Educational Standards should be based on a personalized educational environment in accordance with the individual needs and interests of each student.
Conclusions. The formation of a student’s intercultural competence will be effective only when it occurs in a personalized educational environment, taking into account the student’s position, his requests, problems, internal resources, opportunities for self-study, self-development, and the ability to act in complex intercultural situations.
