The aim of the article can be considered the study of the socio-cultural specificity of modern higher education. Much attention should be paid to the practice of specific educational organizations, the necessary condition for the effectiveness of which can be considered the formation of a special socio-cultural space. Its functioning is determined by a certain set of values and norms. Successful adaptation of subjects of the educational process in the sociocultural space of the organization of higher education can be considered the key to the success of their activities.
