The article provides a description of the main areas of interaction between prosecutorial supervision bodies and prosecutorial officials with public structures of the Soviet period of Russian statehood. It notes the wide variability of this cooperation, founded during the period of intensified social creativity of the era of revolutionary transformations, and subsequently subjected to bureaucratic degeneration and formalization. The activities of public prosecutors, prosecutorial assistance groups and socialist part-time workers are considered. It is concluded that the final decline in the role of public institutions, including public prosecution, was associated with the general patterns of stagnation processes in various spheres of society during the final period of Soviet statehood in the 1970s - first half of the 1980s.

Keywords:soviet prosecutor's office, public prosecution, prosecutor's office assistance groups.
