WAYS OF EXPRESSING VERBAL AGGRESSION IN VIRTUAL DISCOURSE OF THE SOCIAL NETWORK TWITTER

The article is devoted to the description of the ways of aggression revealed in the text messages of the Twitter social network. The linguistic means used by the authors to express verbal aggression are analyzed, the thematic features of aggressively directed messages are discussed, and the gender and age characteristics of communicants are compiled. The relevance of the study of speech aggression is dictated by the transformations of the communicative practices of virtual discourse, including the degradation of the norms of speech behavior, and the choice of aggression as the main communicative strategy.
