The creation of an effective and balanced system of civic-patriotic education is a key task for Russia's national security, its preservation as a sovereign state, and the stable growth of society. The purpose of this article is to examine the content and structure of civic-patriotic qualities in adolescent and young adult students. This study of schoolchildren aged 11–17 aims to determine the degree of development of such qualities as patriotic consciousness, civic identity, and civic engagement. The findings highlight the importance of socialization as a key aspect of civic and patriotic education. The need to engage schoolchildren in community activities and actively participate in socially significant collective events and projects is demonstrated.
