the article examines the role of pragmatic factors in the structure of political discourse. Based on the analysis of a corpus of texts (official speeches, parliamentary debates, interviews, and media publications), the main communicative strategies and tactics aimed at persuasion and influence on the audience are identified. Special attention is paid to pragmatic categories of modality, implicature, and presupposition, as well as to genre-specific differences in the realization of political communication. The results of the study demonstrate that pragmatic factors not only determine the structural organization of political discourse but also ensure its effectiveness as a means of shaping public opinion and legitimizing power. The theoretical significance of the research lies in clarifying the mechanisms of pragmatic means, while its practical value is seen in the possibility of applying the findings to the analysis of political rhetoric and communication technologies.
Keywords:political discourse; pragmatics; communicative strategies; implicature; modality; presupposition; speech influence; public opinion
