THE EMPLOYEES AND THE INTELLIGENTSIA: ATTITUDE TO STATE POWER IN THE LATE 1920s. (ON THE MATERIALS OF THE CITIES OF THE NIZHNEVOLZHSKY TERRITORY)

In the proposed article on the basis of archival material, most of which is introduced into scientific circulation for the first time, the attitude of employees and intelligentsia to state power and its policy is described and analyzed. The authors consider the participation of these groups in festive demonstrations and election campaigns to local authorities. The characteristics of employees and the intelligentsia in their daily lives are shown by state security officers. The authors state that most representatives of employees and intelligentsia in the late 1920s. Critical and negatively related to various events of state power, but still forcedly adapted to the current situation.
