This article analyzes the structural and ideological-artistic features of the book «The Broken Bridle» by the Kumyk author Badru-tdin Magomedov, written in the late 20th to early 21st century, dedicated to the memory of the renowned Hungarian Turkologist, Doctor of Philological Sciences, and Professor István Kongur (Konyra) Mandoki. The focus is on how Magomedov, known primarily to literary scholars and enthusiasts as a talented and original poet, also emerges in several other roles in the analyzed work: as a prose writer, journalist, linguist, and folklorist.
