The aim of this study is to identify the pedagogical conditions for the successful development of adolescent cognitive independence in technical creativity. It was found that cognitive independence and technical creativity complement and define each other, shaping proactive and independent individuals. The study identified the pedagogical conditions for developing adolescent cognitive independence in technical creativity. These include the active use of such organizational and educational processes as design and research in supplementary education, as well as the special pedagogical position of the organizer of technical creativity, where they become not the bearer of ready-made knowledge, but a participant in cognitive activity. It is determined that subject-subject relationships presuppose the implementation of complex intellectual activity, with the manifestation of inner freedom, independent decision-making, and a conscious attitude towards the choice of a particular direction of creative activity.
