SERVICE TATARS OF THE VOLGA REGION ON THE EVE OF THE LEGISLATIVE COMMISSION (1767–1769): REALITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

The article is devoted to the situation of the service tatars of the Volga region on the eve of the convocation of the Legislative commission (1767–1769). In the context of the main vectors of government policy, the features of the socio-economic and religious situation that predetermined the orders of the service tatars to the Legislative commission are considered. Based on the analysis of the orders, the main expectations of the tatar servicemen from the authorities were identified, which played an important role in the process of their integration into russian society.
