WHY DOES MODERN EDUCATION NEED PROJECT-BASED LEARNING? ANALYSING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING THE PROJECT METHOD IN HIGHER EDUCATION

In the presented scientific report, project-based learning is considered as an approach that promotes the development of language skills in teaching a foreign language (English) language in higher school. Special attention is paid to the role of a higher school teacher in the application of the project method, as well as the ability of teachers to involve all students in project activities. An increase in the motivation of students using projects during their studies has been revealed. The scientific paper presents an analysis of the advantages of project-based learning as an integral part of higher education, increasing students' motivation to learn English. Examples of the use of English by students in real situations that increase the level of English proficiency and overcome the language barrier are given. Also in the scientific paper, the authors express the opinion that working on students' projects in a team has a positive effect on the development of cooperation and communication skills, logical, critical and creative thinking.
