This article explores the ways in which antonymy is realized at various linguistic levels, described as consisting of several elements. The concept of antonymy, which arose in linguistics with the goal of semantically opposite and contrasting words, has ultimately established itself as a comprehensive linguistic and speech phenomenon, encompassing all layers of linguistics (morphemes, parts of speech, concepts, metaphorical words, syntactic constructions, nominations, combinations of form and meaning, and language levels). The study revealed that existing classifications of antonyms significantly facilitate the level-by-level analysis of antonymy; however, certain features of the hierarchical structure of language become clear only with a more detailed examination of all levels, as well as related areas.
