THE REASONS FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE NATIONAL RESEARCH FOUNDATION AND ITS ROLE IN SHAPING THE FUTURE ACADEMIC SUCCESS OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDIA

This study analyzes the key principles and mechanisms of India's National Education Policy 2020 in the context of government support for R&D. It aims to identify the role of the National Research Foundation in shaping the country's future academic success. The methodological framework is based on a comprehensive analysis of educational policy documents and relevant scientific literature. Particular attention is paid to the rationale for the creation of the National Research Foundation and its role in supporting scientific research. The analysis identified key areas of its activities, including expanding government funding for the promotion of high-quality research in the natural sciences, engineering, medical sciences, social sciences, and humanities. Without this, it is difficult to achieve significant structural changes in the economy and accelerate the development of key industries to achieve the status of a new superpower. The study's results demonstrate the significant potential of India's experience for supporting scientific research in other countries, particularly Russia, where these issues remain relevant in the context of socioeconomic differentiation.
