The article is devoted to a comparative analysis of the effectiveness of traditional and modern digital methods of teaching descriptive geometry and engineering graphics in higher education institutions. The advantages and disadvantages of each approach are considered, trends in the development of the educational process are identified, and recommendations for optimizing teaching methods are proposed. Special attention is paid to the role of digital technologies in the context of distance learning, when they become an indispensable tool for interaction between students and teachers. The problem of plagiarism related to the use of digital technologies and possible ways to overcome it are considered separately.
