The article explores the formation of information culture among primary school students in the field of artificial intelligence as a pedagogical condition for developing engineering and technical thinking within the system of supplementary education. The relevance of the research lies in the growing need to prepare the younger generation for life and work in the context of digital transformation, where meaningful interaction with technology and the ability to think technically and projectively are essential. Based on the Technopark of Universal Pedagogical Competencies at Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University, a model was developed and tested that integrates artificial intelligence technologies into the educational process. Primary school students mastered the basics of data processing, algorithmic logic, and simple AI modeling through project-based activities. The study demonstrates that the formation of information culture in the field of AI contributes to the development of analytical, constructive, and design components of engineering thinking. Pedagogical conditions ensuring the effectiveness of this process in supplementary education are described.
