HISTORIOGRAPHIC STUDY AND EVOLUTION OF DISEASE NAMES IN KHAKASS FOLK MEDICINE

This article is devoted to the topic of historiographical research of Khakass folk medicine and its lexemes. The article contains the first attempt of comprehensive and generalized coverage of such an important sphere of the cultural heritage of the Khakass as folk medicine. In addition to the ethnographic relevance of the study of traditional medicine, there is also a purely practical relevance arising from the desire of modern society to search for an understanding of the nature of diseases and rational ways of influencing the human body. The scientific circulation is introduced fundamentally new information collected as a result of a survey of elderly informants who practiced traditional methods of treatment. The present study may make it possible to systematize the folk names of diseases and painful conditions present in the Khakas language. All of them are directly related to the way of life and peculiarities of thinking of the Khakass. As for the adaptation of the popular names of diseases and disease states to modern concepts, it was carried out on the principle of identifying clinical manifestations, that is. Whatever the name of the disease in Khakas and Russian, its symptoms in patients will be similar. This makes it possible to recognize lexemes as equivalent. The novelty of the work is the fact that the author first introduced into circulation new information, names of diseases and their comparisons.
