THE POST-REVISIONIST TREND IN THE RESEARCH OF THE REPRESSIONS OF THE 1930S IN THE USSR: AUTHORS AND CONCEPTS

Chekanov Daniil Dmitrievich  (Postgraduate Student, Tyumen State University, Tyumen )

The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the post-revisionist trend in modern Russian historiography, focused on the study of the repressive policies of the 1930s in the USSR through the prism of the concept of "Soviet subjectivity". The author traces the genesis of this approach, which goes back to the post-structuralist philosophy of M. Foucault and his Western interpreters (I. Halfin, J. Hellbeck). The focus is on the adaptation of this methodology by Russian researchers (O.L. Leibovich, S.I. Bykova, I.B. Orlov, I.G. Venyavkin), whose works are analyzed from the point of view of key research subjects: the formation of "terrorist discourse", strategies for survival and self-expression in the Gulag, reconstruction of individual experience through sources of personal origin. A separate section is devoted to criticism of this area from the scientific community. The conclusion is made about the methodologically significant status of the "history of subjectivity" in the framework of the study of Stalinism, its hybrid nature, and prospects for further development.

Keywords:post-revisionism, soviet subjectivity, repressions of the 1930s, historiography of Stalinism.
