"THEATRICAL TEXT" IN CONTEMPORARY CRITICISM AND JOURNALISM (BASED ON PUBLICATIONS IN THE "PETERSBURG THEATRE JOURNAL" 2020-2025)

This article examines the representation of theater in contemporary critical journalism, drawing on materials published in the Petersburg Theater Journal. It identifies both semantic dominants in the perception and interpretation of theater and specific linguistic features of publications about theater, reflecting linguistic phenomena relevant to contemporary media. It also explores instances of the authors' involvement and personal experience and their assessments of theater and theatrical products, as well as the multidimensionality and complexity of the use of various linguistic devices in the formation of contemporary theatrical journalism.
