This paper focuses on the issue of foreign language vocabulary teaching for non-language major university students. Integrating Piaget's cognitive development theory and the affective filter hypothesis, it analyzes the mechanisms influencing vocabulary acquisition from three key dimensions: motivation, cognitive style, and emotional regulation. The aim is to help learners consolidate their cognitive foundation while effectively improving their vocabulary competence and foreign language application skills. By examining core challenges in vocabulary acquisition, the study proposes targeted teaching strategies to reduce learning anxiety and enhance learning confidence.
