THE INFLUENCE OF ISLAM ON THE FORMATION OF THE IDEOLOGY OF THE BASHKIR MOVEMENT

In the early 20th century, the Bashkir intelligentsia became increasingly involved in Muslim movements in Russia. Delegates from Bashkortostan participated in the First All-Russian Muslim Congress in Moscow in May 1917. Prominent Bashkir figure A.Z. Validi participated in its preparation and conduct. The forum approved a number of resolutions concerning the further development of the Russian state and the role of Muslims within it.
