The authentication and reliability of written monuments forms the foundation of historical science. One of the most pressing problems in this field is distinguishing genuine documents from counterfeit artifacts, which directly affects the reliability of scientific conclusions. When working with archival materials and interpreting them, researchers inevitably face the risk of falsifications, various distortions of the original data, or their misreading. Solving this problem requires the use of a range of specialized verification procedures: studying the historical context of the period, expert opinions, comparative methods, and the use of modern scientific tools such as dendrochronological analysis, carbon isotope analysis, and other technical verification tools.
