Orenburg Military Governorship (1796-1851

Semyonova Nataliya   (Sterlitamak Branch of the Bashkir State University)

The article deals with the basis features of the system of Orenburg Region. The author makes an attempt to show that the Russian Empire carried out quite a flexible policy in the national outlying districts. It didn't have an intention to introduce a common state system of government and justice there at once specific typical of each district models of government were established in those districts. One of them was a system of government of a complex policultural, multinational and borderline Orenburg region.
