Audits of office-work of zemstvo chiefs in the orel province

In this article the problem of controllability of institute of Zemsky chiefs of the Orel province, operating in the territory of the Russian Empire at the end of the XIX beginning of the XX centuries is considered. The main content of research makes the analysis of audits of office-work of Zemsky chiefs. The author gave considerable attention to comparison of quantity and quality of local and ministerial audits.
