Translation of metaphor in economic discourse

This study aims to explore the translation of metaphor in English economic discourses by applying the classification proposed by Peter Newmark and investigate how phrases and expressions are metaphorically used in different contexts in the field of economy. This paper also offers a cognitive analysis of conceptual metaphors dealing with how abstract economic concepts are structured in terms of metaphors in the context of journalistic economic texts.
