Transformation of US-Korean military alliance in the end of the Cold War

The article analyzes the changes within the US-South Korea alliance during the Cold War ending. When the main enemy of the US – the Soviet Union – disappeared the alliance future faced challenges. So the alliance members have taken measures to distribute and optimize costs, tasks and internal processes within the alliance to adapt it to the new conditions.
