Ethnic reality in the structure of personal identity (based on the autobiography of Marc Chagall)

As part of this article examines the autobiography "My Life" by Marc Chagall. The cognitive component of ethnic identity is a description of the traditions and rituals of Jewish culture and the world of Yiddish folklore. Ethnic identity includes individual and collective identity of all sizes and contents (from family and ethnicity to the general culture). "Family," "House," "Roots" act as a traditional cultural concept-representors of ethnic identity. The affective component of ethnic identity is implemented by means of assessing the quality of their own group, the importance of this membership.
