Morphological and syntactical structures of English terminological unit formation in the work of international investigation against the trafficking of narcotic and psychotropic substances

The article deals with the basic morphological and syntactical structures of English terminological unit formation in the work of international investigation against the trafficking of narcotic and psychotropic substances. The authors point out several ways of the term formation used in the areas of syntactical, morphological (including linguistic doublets), abbreviation, and lexical-semantic language. The academic literature study shows that the terminological information support concerning international investigations requires constant updating since the term systems of any field are constantly being supplemented, changed, or in some cases dropped all together. The relevance of this issue is obvious as the smuggling of narcotic and psychotropic substances is a considerable economic and social danger, and therefore, there is an urgent need for a profound study of the current state and development of the following term system.
