Experience, problems and prospects in the formation of ethno-cultural, civil identity

The article reflects some results of research of Institute of National Schools of The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), aimed at of the tasks of ethno-cultural education on the formation of Russian civil and ethnic and cultural identity of children in a multicultural Republic. Describes the experience of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the existing problems in the preservation and development of national, ethnic and cultural peculiarities in the education system. The need to create conditions for the formation ethno-cultural and Russian civil identity through the teaching of regional training courses (course) «Culture of peoples of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)» in the educational institutions of the region.
