The feature «form» in the derivative somatic lexis of the Russian language

The paper describes the mechanisms of derivatives formation through the analysis of features, which person pays attention to in the nomination process. The author is interested in (1) how the «form» feature in somatic derivatives of Russian language is realized and (2) how person nominates himself and his own kind by correlating his body parts with objects of the world. The derivatives included into the family of words, which is proposed from the basic word «head», are the material of the study.
