Some peculiarities of education of the inorodic population of Kazan government in the second half of the XIX century

The author of the article analyzes the problems connected with the issues of education of the foreign population of the Kazan province in the middle of the 19th century, which began to occupy a special place in Russian national policy. Since 1850, the Russian government has begun to pursue an active policy to tighten supervision over the activities of Muslim educational institutions. Transformations in the system of public education of the 1860s. left an indelible mark not only on the Russian school, but also on the Muslim mektebas and madrassas of the Kazan region.
