The evens of Berezovka village in terms of floods: the experience of moving to settled way of life

In this paper a moving to settled way of life of the local group of the Evens is considered on an example of Berezovka village of Yakutia. It is established that location of the village was an unfortunate choice and it has often flooded. On the basis of archival documents has revealed that the frequent flooding of the village are contributed in the 1980s the discussion on the different levels of government the issue of the relocation of the population to the new location. However, in view of the fact that in the period of 1960-1980 were invested large funds for nomadic population moving to settled way of life, the issue of the full transfer of the village of Berezovka were rejected by Government of Yakutia. The article is used the preliminary results of the project RFH №17-11-14003.
