Audiovisual technology in the process of teaching foreign languages

this article analyzes the relevance of the use of audiovisual technologies in learning foreign languages, which, according to the author, lies in the fact that the use of audiovisual technologies at the present stage is necessary, due to the fact that in the universities the study of a foreign language are given a little time, a large part of the program, students are on their own; the definition of audiovisual technology and audio-visual media; advantages of using audiovisual technologies in learning foreign languages compared to using only text materials; analyzes the classification of audiovisual media; the originality of the use of audiovisual technology in the process of foreign language teaching; attention is paid to the factors of efficiency of use of audiovisual technology. Special attention is paid to the analysis of opinions of experts on this issue. The author came to the conclusion that the use of audiovisual technology in the process of foreign language teaching increases learning efficiency, facilitate the perception of the material and saves time assimilation of information, as is immersion in linguistic space
