Conceptual analysis of the lexeme "bread" in the language picture of the Russians (on the material of explanatory dictionaries)

The article is devoted to the actual problem of the interrelation between language and thinking on the basis of the concept "language picture of the world" in the framework of the cognitive linguistics. The purpose of the article is to reflect the evolution of the content of the concept, presented in explanatory dictionaries of different periods. The zone of interpretation and the zone of illustration of the lexeme "Bread" are compared and all the changes reflected in the dictionary articles for more than 200 years are analyzed. It is proved that the explanatory dictionaries can reflect the core and periphery of the content of concept and his evolutionary process in the Russian national picture of the world.
