The dichotomy of carnal-spiritual, and her artistic expression on the novel I. Shmelev "History love" and the story Leonid Andreyev's "The abyss"

The article examines the realization of the Christian idea of a dichotomy by using the comparative analysis of literary worlds by L. Andreev and I. Shmelev. For example, the selected texts is an anthropological characteristic of the characters, establishes their connection with the concept of the two-part nature of man. In both texts seen similar issues, characteristic for the artistic method I. Shmelev and reflected in the works of L. Andreev. Carnal-spiritual is considered as the basis of human personality, forming ethical and moral attitude. The article also outlined the creative Parallels of both authors, as potential topics for further research.
