In the article, the author talks about the biography of the brilliant German writers Thomas Mann and Hermann Hesse, who lived from the late 1870s and early 1960s and were close friends. They were both very close friends and were considered defenders and followers of the best cultural traditions of the past and were servants of the new. The remaining originals, their creative writing, are closely related to each other. In the article the authors find confirmation of this by conducting a literary analysis of the works of German writers
