Teaching listening based on the approximation of foreign language texts (initial stage in a technical university)

This paper discusses the important problem of authentic audiotexts selection considering foreign language teaching conditions during the first year studies in a technical university. The authors point out, that approximated authentic audiotexts proved to be the most efficient for the accomplishment of listening comprehension educational objectives in given circumstances. The approximation is considered in the context of definition “easy language”. The authors describe common features of authentic approximated audiotexts on basis of the analysis of materials intended for the teaching of the German language available in the Internet and made according to the rules of “easy language”. Using such audiotexts at the initial stage of technical university ensures skills forming on the level essential and sufficient for further training.
