Peculiarities of clichés in official style of speech (based on the Russian and English language sources)

The article deals with the stereotypical units of language inherent in the official style of speech, namely clichés. In the course of the analysis, it is established that cliched structures are an integral attribute of any official document. The use of clichés is due to the fact that they serve to save time and space in writing, as well as to save mental effort in the preparation of official texts.
