Contemporary stage of chinese language development

The article considers the state of modern Chinese linguistics and identifies trends in its development. It was revealed that Chinese linguistics has a rich history and has more than two thousand years, at the same time it was aimed mainly at the study of hieroglyphs, their writing, reading, meaning, origin. It is noted that European linguistics has a positive effect on modern Chinese linguistics, expanding its borders in recent decades. As a result, at present, all branches of development in Chinese linguistics are developing – phonetics, lexicology, phraseology, grammar, etc., as well as modern linguistic areas – communicative linguistics, cognitive linguistics, linguoculturology, etc. Comparative studies of Chinese and other languagesare widely represented in modern Chinese linguistics.
